Another new rogue is on the loose. This one is another rebranding of SpyProtector and is called Pro Antispyware 2009.

DON’T PURCHASE PRO ANTISPYWARE 2009!

People find rogue security tools annoying but they hope that they are functional; unfortunately no of them are useful. And ProAntispyware 2009 is definitely not a functional security tool. The only features it offers are slowing down a computer and delivering pesky pop-ups.

Pro Anti spyware 2009 loads plenty of pop-ups that urge users to purchase Pro Antispyware 2009 for $29.95, $49.95 or $79.95. It may also redirect web browser to malicious websites and promoted other corrupt programs. The proantispyware2009.com website of this fraud looks legitimate; it has reviews and awards sections, so many people don’t recognize the danger of ProAntispyware2009. It is not an anti-spyware; if you buy the license, you simply lose the money. If you don’t remove Pro Antispyware 2009 in time, it installs additional adware and trojans.

How to tell if your PC has been infected by a Rogue Anti-Spyware such as Pro Antispyware 2009:
Numerous undesirable and annoying pop-ups: A typical Rogue Anti-Spyware parasite keeps track of your internet browsing habits, sending your browsing history data to remote servers, owned by third party companies that use this information to advertise their products via numerous pop-ups, toolbars, hijacked homepages and spam letters. All these undesirable advertising methods are used on the victims of Rogue Anti-Spyware.
Changed or new icons: Sometimes, Rogue Anti-Spyware installs unwanted software to a victim’s PC without user’s knowledge and consent. This may lead to slower PC performance and stability, as well as more unwanted programs you can’t remove.
