A course member is asked to observe as though they were that person and contribute that person’s feelings prior to the overall debriefing. Tutors should take care to ensure that this is a separate phase, so that it does not ‘muddy’ the original role play. Any number of stakeholders can be used, with the stakeholder group having a separate discussion in role. In the debriefing, the tutor can enable the group to explore issues such as responsibilities, boundaries and ethics.
