We show that the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the 1D FS-PSF should be strongly correlated to the linear statistics of the blurred image along the motion direction. We then develop a matching algorithm using a sign-of-derivative metric to find the motion parameters that yield the strongest correlation. We demonstrate our techniques on real images of various motion types. We show that our method can automatically and accurately recover the motion parameters from blurs under the fluttered shutter.
